Zoom Presets
For some scene collections, the remote control can be used to select from up to 6 preset crop/zoom settings for the camera. This is designed to use when the camera is stationary, to allow you to zoom into different areas of the camera feed - for example, when streaming baseball and the camera is mounted on the backstop.
Saved presets include both the cropped area, as well as the camera zoom.
To maintain the best quality during the stream, try to limit the amount of cropping you are doing, and use the zoom when possible. To capture the edges of the video will require cropping, but if you are looking to capture the centre of the camera feed, consider zooming in and using a full crop, rather than cropping the middle of the camera feed.
When using the Zoom presets feature, use the highest camera resulution available for your device (i.e. 4k) even if you are streaming at a lower resolution. This will ensure the best quality video for the stream.
Setting up Presets
To enter the preset selection mode, tap the "Setup" button to enter the Setup Menu. In this mode, a yellow box will appear which indicates the cropping that will be applied. 6 control buttons, to increase/decrease the cropped area and move the cropper area around are available, and an additonal 6 buttons are available to save the zoom/crop in one of the available preset slots.
Using the Presets
The remote control interface for the Ball collection includes 7 buttons along the right side that can be used to set the main camera to one of the saved presets, as well as reset the crop to full frame. You can also use the slider controls to zoom the camera from the remote.
You can adjust the minimum and maximum zoom (as a percentage) on the remote control by editing the white text boxes at the top and bottom of the slider. In most cases, a 100% zoom is going to be way too zoomed in - you will likely want to change that value to provide more granular control over the zoom by limiting it to a useful range.
